This is about as close as you can get to Everest in a single morning. The helicopter leaves Kathmandu at dawn, refuels at Lukla and then flies up the Khumbu valley, past Namche Bazaar and Tengboche, to Kala Patthar at about 5,545 m. There you'll land for a few minutes, face to face with Everest, the Khumbu Icefall and Everest Base Camp below.
On the way back, the helicopter stops at Hotel Everest View, at about 3,880 m, for breakfast on the terrace with Ama Dablam across the valley. Then it's back to Kathmandu via Lukla, with stories to last a lifetime.
The price per person depends on how many people share the helicopter. You can book for up to five people, or let us know if you'd like us to try to match you with other travellers.

Will I get altitude sickness?
You'll only spend a few minutes above 5,000 m, so serious problems are rare, but you may feel a little light-headed. Move slowly and drink plenty of water.
