Seeing Everest doesn't have to mean weeks of trekking. Mountain flights leave Kathmandu's domestic terminal just after sunrise, when the air is at its clearest, and fly east along the Himalaya at around 7,500 m. Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishankar and Cho Oyu glide past the windows before the plane reaches the Khumbu, where Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Makalu stand side by side.
Every passenger gets a window seat, and most are invited up to the cockpit for a look ahead. And the best part? You'll be back at your hotel in time for breakfast.

Questions about this tour
What if the weather is bad?
The airline makes the call on the morning. If your flight is cancelled, you can fly the next morning or have your money back in full.
Which side should I sit on?
Don't worry, every seat is a window seat! The plane turns at Everest, so both sides of the plane see the mountains on one leg of the flight.
