You don't have to go all the way to Pokhara to fly! Three take-off points on the valley rim offer tandem flights with a licensed pilot: Chapakharka above the Godawari botanical garden, Deurali in Shankharapur, looking north to Gaurishankar and Dorje Lakpa, and Lapsiphedi near Nagarkot.
Your pilot picks the site on the morning, depending on the wind. After a short briefing you'll run a few steps and, before you know it, you're airborne for 20 to 30 minutes above forests, villages and terraced fields, before landing in the valley where the car is waiting.
